Counseling & Coaching Support
Create a life you don't need to escape from.
If you have ever wondered if, just maybe, you might drink too much, or if you have started feeling like alcohol seems to affect you differently than it used to...you're not alone. And you've come to the right place.
The fact is that alcohol often serves a purpose in our lives... until it doesn't. Unfortunately by the time we realize it's not making us feel better about anything, it's often become part of our daily routine.
When people contemplate re-defining their relationship with alcohol, it can feel terrifying and isolating. Whether you are thinking about cutting back or quitting altogether, it often feels overwhelming and you may not know where to even begin.
One of the significant benefits of one-on-one coaching is the accountability it offers.
Think of me as your accountability partner, helping you define and stay committed to your goals. New goals. Goals that help you step into your power and purpose and become your most authentic self. Because I promise, alcohol doesn't make anyone their truest self. It only chips away at that person.
I provide regular check-ins, track progress, and help you navigate difficult situations that will inevitably come up during this process.
This individualized support can be highly motivating and help you stay on track as you begin to see and do things differently. We will work collaboratively to define your goals, establish realistic actions, and begin to make changes. Research shows that the longer a person stays engaged in their recovery process the better the long-term outcomes.
You may not even know who you are without alcohol in your life. It's not your fault. Alcohol is so ingrained in our culture it's used to celebrate every emotion and every event. It's so socially acceptable that it's the only substance you have to defend yourself for NOT using. No wonder it becomes a habit that we aren't sure how to stop.
I am licensed as an addiction counselor in my residing state, however I primarily operate as a coach and an advocate for the individuals I work with. I have consciously chosen this approach for various reasons, one being the ability to assist people from around the world in this capacity, unlike the limitations imposed by licensure, which restrict me to working solely with residents of Montana.
By operating as a coach and advocate, I am not constrained by the influence of insurance companies that often dictate the frequency and duration of our sessions. Instead, we have the freedom to design a highly personalized plan that aligns with your specific needs and long-term goals.
That said, I bring with me a deep working knowledge of the latest research in addiction and evidence-based best practices.
As a guide for women exploring their evolving relationship with alcohol, I specialize in assisting individuals who are entering new phases of life filled with milestones, transitions, and unique challenges. With each passing decade, we gain valuable insights and perspective. In my experience, women in their 30's, 40s, 50s and beyond reach a pivotal point where they begin to examine their patterns and behaviors, recognizing the importance of prioritizing self-care. Together, we will examine the multitude of reasons why changing our mindset around alcohol becomes paramount during these transformative periods of time. Through our collaboration, we will explore these reasons in detail, empowering you to make informed decisions and embrace a healthier, more fulfilling lifestyle.
Recognizing the immense value of a supportive and compassionate community is crucial. As accomplished and independent women, we often pride ourselves on our ability to handle everything alone. However, that can make the journey harder than it needs to be. Fortunately, there is an alternative. Partnering with someone who offers unbiased support, meets you where you are, and accompanies you through significant changes in your life is absolutely essential. The power of connection, especially during this process, should be underestimated.
To facilitate change, you must first take a step in the direction you want to go.
